In 2022, I installed an Autoterm water heater on our boat, it was a custom installation but when done worked exactly as I had hoped. The component design and construction of the heater is impressive, and the expertise and service provided by Dmitry was first class.My old Espar air heater recently failed, so back to Dmitry for a new Autoterm 4D air heater. Same experience, Dmitry’s recommendations were greatly appreciated.If you need water or air heating, Planar and Dmitry should be your first call.

Recently had a heater installed in my aluminum boat. Can't say enough about Dimitri and crew. The installation was immaculate, quick, and they left my boat cleaner and tidier than when they started. It is such a nice change to deal with a marine services outfit that knows exactly what they are doing, and take so much pride in their work - unfortunately, that is a rare combination to find these days. If you are looking for a boat heater, in my opinion, you'd be crazy to go anywhere else!

I got a Planar Gasoline Heater installed and I can’t be more satisfied. Very friendly staff and what’s more important, they are not try to sell you things you don’t need. Dimitri is very knowledgeable and his job is very “details oriented”. I’m very picky on my van and the job they have done is outstanding. I highly recommend this company.

Bought a heater from these guys 4-5 years ago, did have an issue with the heater only after not using it for a year then turning it on, call them up, they quickly figured it out, due to the code, nothing to do with the product at all, just ended up being dirty fuel on my part, cleaned it out and it works beautifully like when I got it, will be getting a hydronic heater from soon, and I have been telling everyone that ,this company and product is wonderful.

After 3 years of trouble free use my Planar diesel heater talked back to me this past weekend with an Error code 15. I looked up the code (basically a battery issue) and it just didn't make sense as my batteries are almost new and I have a very reliable new Victron battery monitor. I contacted Sergei in the Canada office and he wrote back immediately asking if the unit had been installed directly to the battery. It had not. Instead my installer ran it through a circuit breaker. He replied that the installation directions say to wire it direct to the battery. I did as Sergei suggested and the unit started and ran perfectly. The issue turned out to be a ground situation that prevented the unit from firing up. Thank you Planar and Sergei for outstanding customer service, even after 3 years. Love my Planar!

I have now been using the heater extensively for nearly two seasons and, aside from some technical issues using the digital display, I have to give them a shoutout for doing fantastic work that has stood up to some serious wave pounding and constant use.I have never run anything but clear kerosene in my Planar 44D and the only modification I did to their installation was to wrap an extra layer of exhaust warping around the hot exhaust pipe to keep any items that might come into contact from burning.After getting all sorts of maintenance and installation work done on my boat from various technicians and shops I have come to very much appreciate good workmanship that stands up to hard use for over a year, add to this that Dimitry has always been available to answer questions and provide support, even when it's by text on a Sunday night and I can say that I am an extremely happy customer!

We are on year 3 with our Planar 2D heater and it always performs flawlessly. We’ve been in -27*C and with the heater it keeps the van warm and dry. Highly recommend them not just for a good product but especially their warranty and local support.

I had a lot of questions for Dmitry before purchasing the Planar portable heater and he was extremely helpful. This portable heater is really well built and is a game changer for us in terms of allowing us to camp in the winter. Also an added benefit of the dry heat pumping into the rooftop tent was no condensation in the tent, which is awesome! I would recommend getting it with the muffler as it greatly reduces exhaust sound from the heater. We love it and really appreciate the great support from Dmitry thus far.

Dimitri installed the Planar system in our 33ft Sea Ray Sundancer last month and we love it! He did a fantastic job and we now have 4 heating areas in the boat. The heater works quietly and it warms and dries-up the boat very quickly. It is all controlled from a little panel on the wall, super convenient. We are now looking forward to using the boat more in the winter. I highly recommend them to any boater who wants to add to their boating experience and their boat value.

I've owned my Planar heater now for 4 years and have never had an issue with it. I use my boat year-round and the heater keeps the cabin warm and dry. There has been no corrosion of the parts despite being used in the salt water environment. I did the installation myself. Sergey gave me advice on the parts and tools I would need. A great product at a great price and a knowledgeable, friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Great heater! Totally changed winter sailing for our family. Never had a problem.My only complaint was that the controller was difficult to figure out, but they have since changed it and the new one is intuitive........Ok, a year or so later, I have swapped out the old control switch and put the new one in. Now it's totally intuitive: push the 'on' button, and dial the heat up or down. Ahhh! That's better.As for the heater, it's still perfect. happy sailor.

I had a 9D installed on my boat last january. the heater has run flawlessly since.. We use it a lot..Several things made me decide to go with a planar installation vs some of the other brands available. One was the initial cost. Less expensive then the others. Two, and this was a big big selling point, they provide installation and service ... the installation, A week after ordering A crew came out and did the install in one day, they arrived 10 minutes before promised time and stayed till the job was done. The service, they come out to the boat!!!! Awesome !!!!. I just had the unit serviced before heading out for another season. Demitre arrived inside a week, changed a fuel screen and filter.. Checked the rest out and an hour later ready to go... I give this company and the employees 5 stars, and highly recommend them and their product ..

I replaced my Espar 5WB Hydronic Heater with a Planar 5S Diesel Heater on the bridge of our 48 Tollycraft. Serge and Dimitri were extremely helpful in providing enough information and guidance so I could install the unit myself even though I have never installed one before. Dimitri even installed the Planar Heater in my Espar Box for me at their shop in Surrey. The only difficulty I had was the digital controller instructions which could be better, The Planar heater kit provides everything needed for installation.

All my questions were answered quickly and precisely. The DIY install was straight forward. When I had a couple questions these gentlemen were EXTREMELY HELPFUL. My sailboat now has a SAFE heating system that can work off a timer and provide dry heat. I Love it.

They were able to support us with our leaky hot water planar 2D heating & hotshower system in our campervan (champ_the_van on instagram), with their great knowhow of these systems and Sergejs experience with engineering in general. The important thing is not that they could help us, it is the way how they did it- with a lot of patience with us unexperienced guys and good instructions and tipps for further issues on our long trip. so grateful to get support from real pros and superfriendly humans. Could warmly recommend to aks them for any needs or issues with planar systems!!

I purchased one of these heaters awhile back while doing a refit. I installed the unit myself, after the owners explained and walked me through the whole system. The DIY guy will appreciate this type of knowledge and explanation. (They’re there to help)We did have a glitch with the heater after Aprox 30hrs run time, I called them and they did everything possible over the phone on a Friday afternoon to troubleshoot this unit , after 5 phone calls and everyone scractching there heads, I took the heater to there shop.With in 2 minutes of walking in the front door , they had my heater on test bench trying to sort things out....(side note, this bench was set up perfect , designed not to waste there time or mine ), after some simple tests the guys at Planar discovered the computer was the glitch, these guys have every part in stock, at there fingertips and within 20minuites my heater was going back together. I believe any product can have a glitch for one reason or another it’s rare and random, but when it comes to Planar heaters if a glitch does happen these guys will get you up and running fast and hassle free.This is a five star heater with a five star price tag!!!!But if you find yourself needing assistance this is a ten star service company that stands behind there products.Dan Kent

I purchased a Diesel Air Heater Planar 44D-PU5 from Planar Marine & Truck Diesel Heaters back in summer last year. So far I'm really happy with the product & the installation was easy. My other friend bought similar diesel heater from China & it broke in couple of months but the worst part there's no warranty or prove it's made directly from Planar. Never buy fake "Chinese" heaters from Ebay or amazon. Make sure you're buying legit product. Worth every cent. Thank you Planar for the product & I'm looking forward to buying more from you.

I recently bought Diesel Air Heater PLANAR 8DM-12v with PU5 controller & just installed it into my boat. I've never felt so satisfied with the purchase! I strongly recommend their products & beware of the Chinese made cheap heaters from EBay or Amazon. Spend a little bit more & you will totally see the difference!!!
